Booking Terms

For the rental of holiday homes

1. General Terms
1.1 These general terms apply between Sauda Rentals AS and others who enter into an agreement with Sauda Rentals AS according to the confirmation (the guest).
1.2 Sauda Rentals AS is responsible for all transactions that go through www.saudarentals.no.
1.3 The holiday home is not owned by Sauda Rentals AS, but by a third party (holiday home owner). Sauda Rentals AS is the party that makes the holiday home available to you (customer) on behalf of the holiday home owner for the benefit and risk of the holiday home owner.
1.4 Sauda Rentals AS is responsible for ensuring that our subcontractors are paid for what the guest has ordered through us. Our subcontractors are responsible for their part of their program; complete insurances, permits, equipment, staffing, and other matters, which are in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations for the supplier.
1.5 When booking cabins/apartments, the person booking must be at least 23 years old.
1.6 Sauda Rentals AS disclaims responsibility for errors made by the guest if one has not followed our terms. Terms protect you as a guest and Sauda Rentals AS as a distributor.

2. Booking
2.1 A booking is binding as soon as a booking number is assigned to the guest and payment is completed. It is the guest’s responsibility to check that arrival and departure dates, as well as everything else that is significant for the booking, are correct.

3. Payment
3.1 The guest must pay 100% at the time of booking.

4. Insurance
4.1 We recommend all our customers to arrange for good insurance agreements before the trip, in case of illness, loss, or damage to luggage, accidents, liability, and similar.

5. Terms for All Products Ordered via Sauda Rentals AS
5.1 Cancellation

5.1.1 Cancellation must be made in writing by email to post@saudarentals.no.
5.1.2 If the cancellation occurs 60 days or earlier before arrival, Sauda Rentals AS will refund 100% of the paid amount.
5.1.3 If the cancellation occurs between 59 days and 10 days before arrival, Sauda Rentals AS will refund 50% of the paid amount.
5.1.4 If the cancellation occurs less than 10 days before arrival, the amount will not be refunded.
5.2 Change of Booking

5.2.1 Changes to arrival and/or departure dates must occur more than 10 days before arrival. Changes must be made via email to post@saudarentals.no. Changes may result in an additional charge due to availability and offers.
5.3 Check-in, Check-out, and Arrival

5.3.1 Check-in is at 4:00 PM on the day of arrival.
5.3.2 Check-out is before 11:00 AM on the day of departure.
5.4 Complaints About the Accommodation

5.4.1 If the guest has complaints regarding their accommodation upon arrival or during the stay, contact Sauda Rentals AS as soon as possible so that the error can be corrected.
5.4.2 Errors that have been informed about at departure or later will not be financially compensated.
5.5 Specific Terms for Cabins/Apartments

5.5.1 Electricity is included in the price. Firewood is not included and must be ordered and paid for separately.
5.5.2 The stay is based on self-catering. Bed linen is mandatory and included in the price when booking. Towels are also included.
5.5.3 The guest is responsible for any damage that is not due to normal wear and tear. In the case of an insurance claim, the deductible is charged to the guest.
5.5.4 The accommodation must be left tidy, waste should be placed in the waste shed in the area.
5.5.5 When renting all our accommodation units, you must pay for cleaning. This is included in the price when booking. The tenant still has obligations to take care of the dishes and dishwasher, empty the refrigerator and dishwasher, clean the stove and outdoor grill, and clean up in and around the holiday home before departure.
5.5.6 Smoking is not allowed in our units, and it is only allowed to have pets in the cabins/apartments if this has been agreed upon in writing with Sauda Rentals AS. A fee of NOK 4,000 will be charged if the smoking ban is not observed.
5.5.7 There should be quiet between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
6. Force Majeure and Unsatisfactory Weather Conditions
Sauda Rentals AS and our subcontractors are not responsible for unsatisfactory weather conditions, closed facilities, or other conditions that are beyond the company’s control. We reserve the right to errors in pricing, description of services, and technical problems that may arise. Both parties can withdraw from the agreement if the product purchased cannot be used due to acts of war, natural disasters, prolonged interruptions of water or electricity supply, and similar events that neither Sauda Rentals AS nor the guest could foresee or influence.

Cleaning Instructions

Checklist Before Departure:

Before you leave, we expect you to do the following:

  • Take out all the trash.
  • Empty the dishwasher, or set it to run. Wash by hand if there are items that cannot be washed in the dishwasher.
  • Empty the refrigerator.
  • Remove bed linen and place it on the floor in the bedroom. Unused/untouched bed linen does not need to be removed.
  • Refill firewood.

Vacuuming and cleaning of the kitchen, bathroom, and floors are included in the price. Cleaning beyond what is considered normal costs 690 NOK per hour.
